Instructions for Use (Depth-Measuring Float Method)
1. Attach the hook to the EVA foam on the bottom-testing sinker. Estimate the water depth visually.
For example, if the estimated depth is 3 m, set the total length from the testing sinker to the float to 3 m for testing.
2. Position the float at the 3 m mark and cast to test the depth. After the sinker reaches the bottom:
• If the float is pulled under the water, the actual depth is greater than 3 m — move the float toward the rod tip (increase the depth setting).
• If the float lies flat or floats lightly on the surface, the actual depth is less than 3 m — move the float toward the hook (reduce the depth setting).
3. Repeat adjustments until the float stands correctly on the water surface (for example, the Abo float shows the waterline clearly).
The total length from hook to float at this point equals the actual water depth.
Then adjust the float finally according to whether you want to fish on the bottom or slightly above the bottom.
